Audrey is one of two ground floor associates who joined BHC in April 1990. She laid the groundwork and developed and implemented BHC’s human resources, office and financial systems, strategies, processes and controls. As BHC has grown, her roles have included Office Manager/IT Administrator and Director of Finance/Human Resources. In her current capacity as VP/CFO she manages the accounting department and asset management/internal auditing functions of BHC. She oversees preparation of budgets, financial reporting/analyses, tax returns, and financial audits in accordance with investor, VHDA, HUD and GAAP standards for our 24 legal entities. Her supervision of the asset management/internal auditing department encompasses risk management, projecting capital needs of the organization and ensuring that the internal operations are run according to company standards. Audrey continuously looks for ways to strengthen overall financial performance and is committed to ensuring a high level of integrity and judicious management of the funds entrusted to us by our donors, investors and lenders. Throughout her career, she has provided guidance and support to other non-profits in developing and managing their accounting and office systems. Prior to joining BHC, she was Executive Administrator for a regional laundry company and worked for three years with a CPA firm. Audrey is a member of the National Society of Accountants and the Society for Human Resource Management and has the designation of Senior Professional of Human Resources.
