Joyce joined BHC in 1999, where she developed the Community Social work Department, which includes a case management component as well as the creation and implementation of a self-sufficiency service delivery system. She provides oversight for all aspects of the Community Social Work department, including program development and evaluation, community resource development, advocacy and fund raising. Joyce has been involved in six innovative model housing programs, permanent and transitional, for the homeless and other special needs populations that were focused on self sufficiency. She has also provided national and international technical assistance to other supportive housing providers. Joyce also serves as adjunct faculty for the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Social Work. A graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work, Joyce has over 25 years experience in housing and community social work.
