Vice President, Property Management
Matt Scaparro leads BHC’s Property Management division of the organization where he is responsible for the overall strategic direction and profitability of this department. Prior to joining BHC, Matt was Director of Operations for the Durham Housing Authority in Durham, NC. Matt is a multi-faceted property management executive with 19 years of experience in nearly all types of rental housing. In his career he has held roles from maintenance technician to Chief Operating Officer; and has managed affordable housing programs from LIHTC, Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher, & RAD development portfolios.
Matt is a graduate of Upper Iowa University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management, and holds the following professional certifications: Certified Property Manager (CPM) with the Institute of Real Estate Management; Public Housing Manager (PHM) with NAHRO; Certified Occupant Specialist (COS), National Center for Housing Management; and has certified LIHTC training through the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency and Iowa Finance Agency, along with TACCS certification with Quadel Consulting & Training.
