BHC is excited about our latest commercial tenant, the Capital Area Health Network (CAHN), which holds a ribbon cutting and open house for its sixth Greater-Richmond area health center this afternoon. Under the name of the Bermuda Medical Center, CAHN will bring much-needed primary medical care to the 500 residents of our Winchester Greens community in North Chesterfield, as well as to other residents of the area. CAHN is leasing space from BHC on the Winchester Greens campus.
Previously, there had been no medical facility within a five-mile radius of Winchester Greens. The closest clinic in the city of Richmond posed a problem for residents with mobility issues and those relying on public transportation (since county buses do not cross the city line, and vice versa). Many area residents simply had nowhere to go for medical care.
The Bermuda Medical Center is 4,400 square feet and has nine examination rooms, and plans to provide family medical care, including pediatric and geriatric care.
