On March 3, Better Housing Coalition was honored to celebrate the generous spirit of our Builder’s Society, Board of Directors, and Corner Stone Society members during a special evening at The Branch Museum of Architecture and Design. Builder’s Society members represent BHC’s leadership supporters whose annual investments provide the strong foundation needed to deliver safe, affordable housing to nearly 3,000 individuals across Greater Richmond.
Designed as an evening of appreciation, the event recognized the vital role our donors play in advancing our mission. Guests enjoyed a special viewing of the newest exhibit, Undeniable, The Designs of Christian Siriano and Ashley Longshore—a vibrant and inspiring backdrop for a night of connection, wine, and great conversation.
During the program, Board Chair Kristin Swanlund and President and CEO Greta J. Harris spoke about the power of philanthropic investment and the difference it is making now and into the future. Greta shared updates on Better Housing Coalition’s growing portfolio and vision for expanding access to affordable housing across the region, highlighting key developments including Highland Grove, an upcoming single-family home community designed to increase homeownership opportunities; the transformation of Colbrook, a former Green Book site in Chesterfield County, into a vibrant multifamily apartment community; and ongoing renovations at Carter Woods Senior Living, which will enhance quality of life for senior residents.
The evening was generously sponsored by Automatic Leasing Service, a longstanding partner and dedicated advocate for our residents. We are grateful for their continued support, and for all those who champion Better Housing Coalition through their time, expertise, and financial investment.
