Our hearts are heavy at the passing of our dear friend John McCann, past Better Housing Coalition Chairman, board member emeritus and passionate supporter of equitable housing for all. John contributed greatly to our RVA community at many levels and was instrumental in making BHC stronger and ready for the challenges of making positive community change.
“Although he loved real estate and he was a giant in that industry, his inspiration was in helping organizations like BHC to create great places to call home so that residents could thrive,” said Greta J. Harris, President & CEO of Better Housing Coalition.
John joined our board in the fall of 2002 and served diligently as a member and later as our Chair. His passion for both our corporate sustainability as well as advancing our mission was palpable. We will miss his presence, his wise counsel and the love that he shared so generously with the Better Housing Coalition family. We are keeping his family in our thoughts and prayers.
