Sarah Brooks, a native of Richmond, joined the Better Housing Coalition Board in 2023. Sarah is Director, Business and Financial Services at Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP), concentrating in ecosystem development for the Business and Financial Services industries. Sarah previously worked for Capital One in corporate relationship management; and in international development with a focus on agricultural market linkages. Sarah came to the BHC family in 2019, serving on the BHCyp (Young Professionals) board and becoming the yp Board Chair in 2022.

Sarah is passionate about promoting safe and affordable housing as a human right and hiking throughout the beautiful state of Virginia. She is a graduate of Rhodes College (BA, Religious Studies) and Emory University (MA, International Economics). Sarah served in the US Peace Corps in Thailand from 2009-2011.
