Zanas Talley joined the Better Housing Coalition Board in 2023 after serving on its BHCyp (Young Professionals) Board. Mr. Talley is an attorney at the law firm Venable LLP, where his focus is on advising developers and landowners on the acquisition, sale, leasing, and financing of projects across the country and across commercial asset classes. His prior experience includes practicing commercial real estate law and land use at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston LLP, serving as an advisor to Richmond City Commonwealth’s Attorney Colette Wallace McEachin, and as the Legislative Director for Virginia State Senator J. Chapman Petersen. Zanas is a native Richmonder, born and raised in Midlothian, VA.

Mr. Talley attended The Catholic University of America, in Washington D.C., where he studied political theory; he then went on to attend The University of Richmond School of Law.
